Jessica Lister, LCSW, RYT
My name is Jessica, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Yoga Teacher, and wellness enthusiast in San Diego. My practice works to move beyond traditional talk therapy and move toward an integrative model that combines psychotherapy and yoga to improve mood and manage stress. This approach promotes holistic health and wellness and encourages a balanced and engaged lifestyle.
To date, my career has given me the opportunity to work with adults of all ages in non-profit settings, community organizations, and the medical field; treating mood disorders related to end-of-life concerns, trauma, sexual dysfunction, chronic illness, caregiving, loss of loved ones, and a multitude of life transitions. These experiences have helped me to be a focused, curious, and empathic clinician. My style balances creative depth and exploration in a safe and nurturing space with the healing power of lightness and humor. I remain a student and advocate for a healthy balance of yin and yang energy, and enjoy working with others to find a balance that works for them.
I earned my master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan in 2012, where I received a Geriatric Scholarship and Specialist in Aging Certification; focusing on the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. I completed my yoga teacher training with the wonderful and supportive Yoga One community in San Diego, and have trained with the LifeForce Yoga team to learn how to integrate these practices in a clinical setting. I'm a forever student of Yoga Psychology and Integrative Health. I'm grateful each day to learn from the wisdom of my clients, and to offer a space in which they are able to thrive in a supportive environment. Please contact me to schedule a free consultation.
